Have you ever wondered? Where did all this fear come from anyway? Where did it originate?
Fear had it origins way back in the Garden of Eden. Adam and Eve disobeyed God and ate of the fruit of the forbidden tree. That started the whole ball rolling. When they did that their eyes were opened and they realized they were naked. So, they made some coverings out of leaves.
“They heard the sound of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God among the trees of the garden. Then the LORD God called to the man, and said to him, “Where are you?” He said, “I heard the sound of You in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid myself.” (italics mine) Gen 3:8-10 NASB
Sin and fear entered the picture at this time. Before that they were not afraid and they lived a very peaceful and fulfilling life in the beautiful garden where they had special and sweet fellowship with the Lord. Oh, how I wish they had never eaten that fruit!
In this case we could reasonably say that their fear was a result of their sin. This is something to think about. When God gives us a command as He did Adam and Eve, which was not to eat of the fruit of that tree, and they disobeyed His command that was sin. That sin nature has been passed down to all of us, unfortunately.
Today, God has given us many commands in the Bible and when go against them we also sin. God says,
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” Php 4:6 NASB
Thank goodness God has given the Christian an antidote for when we mess up and sin, because we all will and do. It is found over in the book of John.
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1Jn 1:9 NASB
You will notice the little word “if” in this verse. Well, in reality that is not so little, because the promise God gives us hinges on it. “If we confess our sins,” then he is faithful to forgive us and cleanse us for our wrongdoing. So, it takes something on our part first, (confession) then he is faithful to fulfill His part. (forgiveness and cleansing.)
Actually confession means that we agree with God. And, we should be sorry that we disobeyed.
Do you realize that God’s love is much more powerful than our fears? Look at this scripture.
…that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and might free those who through fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives. Heb 2:14-15 NASB
Isn’t that a wonderful scripture? We can be free from the power of fear in our lives because Jesus Christ already took care of it. That is what he died on the cross for. What wonderful and powerful love that took.
We will end on a positive note. Not all fear is sinful. God has given all of us a kind of fear that protects us from danger. That is not sinful. Also, God has given us a kind of fear that is godly.
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding. Pro 9:10 KJV
The fear of the Lord is a reverence of God’s majesty. This is also a good kind of fear.
May God bless you today!
Was satan in the garden to talk to Eve about the tree which God instructed them not to eat, did sin came into existence through her ears and later sin also came into existence by Adam through his eyes and both the touch? Did satan use man’s 5 senses to corrupt man through the pride that was founded in him which God has thrown him out of Heaven along with 1/3 of the corrupted one time angels (minions)

Hi Pauline, I will try to answer your questions. Yes, Satan did deceive Eve in the Garden to eat of the tree that God had forbidden them to eat of. She listened to him instead of God. Adam then followed her example and ate of the fruit also. The sin was that they disobeyed God’s command. That was the sin. Pride was the reason that Satan and his corrupt angels were thrown out of Heaven. Satan wanted to be like God. That was pride. When we think we know more than God or do not listen to his commands we are sinful and full of pride as well. I do believe that Satan did use man’s senses to and also their minds to deceive them. The fruit looked good and tasted good. But, that is when they no longer were innocent and they became aware of themselves being naked. So, they covered themselves with fig leaves and then hid from God. They were afraid. That is when fear came into the world. I hope this helps.

Hi bonnie. There are cases wherein people are having fear attacks due to unresolved conflicts when they were young. This is where inner healing and deliverance are useful and effective.
A christian may have all of his sins forgiven but will still suffer from fear attacks until his emotional hurts are resolved through repentance and forgiving the person who hurt him. Furthermore, emotional wounds become open doors for the devil and his cohorts.
I know not all agree on this issues. I respect your site. May the Lord guide you in all wisdom, understanding and knowledge.

Eugene, When a person becomes a Christian God makes them a new person on the inside. We are a new creation the Word says. God give us the ability to have a forgiving heart toward others.
When we come to the cross of Christ and are saved we are forgiven of everything past, present and future. So, we have a clean slate.
It is true that unforgiveness can cause all kinds of bad things such as fear, anger, and bitterness. It is not wise to carry that around with us. We need to get rid of it.
The Bible teaches us that we are to forgive others as God as forgiven us. That is part of our healing. It really doesn’t take a deliverance ministry to do this. All a person has to do is be sincere and go to God and ask Him to help you forgive someone. We find it is His will for us to forgive, and we must do it even if we don’t feel like it. Sometimes, it is also necessary to go to that person and ask them to forgive you also.
And, we need to ask forgiveness for holding things against others for what they have done to us. We do not want to wish bad things on them, but know that God will take care of them. God says, “vengeance is mine.”
Thanks Eugene for you comments. Bonnie

You are talking about being delivered from generational curses. I just want you to know that this teaching which is popular today is not scriptural and is in fact false teaching. When we are saved we become a new creation according to the Bible. We are born-again. We are forgiven and there is nothing in our past or our relatives past that can harm us. We do not need any deliverance to take it out from the root as you have stated. It’s too bad this false teaching is confusing many people who struggle to try to get rid of something that isn’t really there. That certainly isn’t being free. You can read the following short articles for further help.
